When creating course content, we follow the legislation and guidelines set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in regard to provisions of first aid, and the Health and Safety At Work Act 1974 (HASWA 1974). The HSE is a UK government agency responsible for the encouragement, regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare, and for research into occupational risks in Great Britain. Our courses provide the training that satisfies the HSE’s need for provisions for First Aid.

Ofqual regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. They are responsible for making sure that regulated qualifications reliably indicate the knowledge, skills and understanding students have demonstrated. They also ensure that assessments and exams show what a student has achieved. Our First Aid courses are certified by First Aid Awards Ltd. First Aid Awards (FAA) are regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation and our qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF)

The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) is Scotland’s regulating body responsible for accrediting qualifications other than degrees, approval, and quality assurance of awarding bodies that plan to enter people for these qualifications. They devise and develop qualifications, validate and review qualifications, quality-assure education and training establishments which offer SQA qualifications and issue certificates to candidates.

Our first aid certification is provided by First Aid Awards Ltd. First Aid Awards is an awarding organisation specialising in first aid, health & safety, food safety, safeguarding and related qualifications. First Aid Awards (FAA) are regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation and our qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

First Aid Awards Ltd is a member of The First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF). The First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF) is a group formed to support regulatory requirements for Awarding Organisations/Bodies. The remit of the forum is to collaborate on best practice and maintain quality to ensure the integrity and currency of regulated First Aid qualifications, ensuring that they meet the needs of the sector.

We regularly re-evaluate our courses so that we are following the guidelines of the Resuscitation Council UK. The Resuscitation Council develops guidelines & policies, delivers courses and supports cutting-edge research. Through education, training and research, their aim is to ensure everyone in the country has the skills they need to save a life.

Pearson is one of the UK's largest awarding organisations. Alongside A levels, BTEC Nationals are the most widely-recognised qualification for admission to higher education. BTECs are level 3 vocational qualifications that provide specialist, work-related learning across a range of sectors. BTEC Nationals are designed to equip students with the specialist knowledge, practical skills and understanding they need to progress along their chosen learning and career paths.
